If you prefer to do your own shopping, here are some of the things we stock in our pantries:
Non-perishable food items
Fruit or vegetables that have not been cut, sliced, diced or otherwise processed
Bottled water or reusable water bottles
Winter hats/gloves/scarves
Hand warmers
Toilet paper
Toothbrushes/toothpaste
Shampoo/conditioner
Body wash/soap/lotion
Deodorant
Menstrual health products
Tissue packages
First aid bandages
Chapstick
Combs/brushes/hair ties
Sunscreen
Dog/cat food (please clearly label!)
Please do not donate:
Foods that require temperature control (leftovers, dairy products, opened containers, etc)
Fruit or vegetables that have been cut, sliced, diced or in any way processed by anyone
Expired and/or unmarked food items
Over the counter or RX medications
Clothing donations (please direct clothing donations to a local thrift store)
Alcohol
Small supplies donations can be dropped off at:
Advocap 19 W. 1st St Monday-Thursday from 9-3 and Fridays 9-12. Please go to the north side of the building, enter thru the white gate off the alleyway, ring the bottom doorbell and someone will assist you.
The Cathedral of St. Paul’s 51 W Division St Fridays 3:30-5:30.
Until March 16th 2025, as part of the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive, we are also accepting donations at the following locations (please see each individual business for open hours):

If you have a larger donation, would like to arrange a pickup for your donation, wish to shop somewhere other than Amazon and have it shipped to us, or if you would like a receipt for your donation please email us at hopeontheblockfdl@gmail.com
